Wiggle, the UK’s largest tri-sports retailer, announces Human Race 2019 sponsorship
UK tri-sports retailer, Wiggle, has today announced it will be the retail partner of Human Race, the largest and most varied mass participation events company in the UK, and subsidiary of renowned rights holder Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.).
The partnership will see Wiggle as the title sponsor of the Manchester Half Marathon on Sunday 13th October 2019, where more than 15,000 runners of all abilities will take on the dynamic course. Wiggle will visit the city twice this year, with the ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon taking place on Friday 5th April, the UK’s largest marathon outside of London.
The online retailer will also be a group partner for thirteen other Human Race events throughout 2019; including one of the UK’s most gruelling cycling races, The Dragon Ride. Hosted in the Welsh Hills, amateurs will get a taste of what it is like to ride like a pro on Saturday 9th June.
Wiggle will be involved in the Tour de Yorkshire Ride, a sportive dream day, which offers a unique mix of the Tour de France combined with Yorkshire hospitality and beautiful scenery. This year’s pro race could see four-time Tour de France winner Chris Froome involved for the first time in his career.
The partnership will also include L’Etape UK, the official Tour de France Sportive in the UK and the only opportunity for cyclists and spectators to experience the true atmosphere of Le Tour in their own backyard, featuring the Official Tour de France Fan Park. L’Etape UK will start and finish at Penn House Estate in Amersham, and will combine the natural beauty and demanding hills of the Chilterns with the romance of the Tour de France.
The events will provide experiences for up to 100,000 athletes looking for a PB, as well as everyday sports enthusiasts, with the partnership making memorable moments for all participants via complimentary experiences and gifts at each ride, run or triathlon. No matter your ability, Wiggle will be on hand to advise on training routines and kit to ensure all contenders feel on top of their game and look their best as they cross the finish line.
