IRONMAN Europe extends partnership with global sports event travel specialist Nirvana as “Official Travel & Accommodation Partner”

IRONMAN, a Wanda Sports Holdings company, is pleased to announce a significant extension of their partnership with Nirvana Europe Ltd, the specialist event travel and accommodation service provider. The agreement builds on an existing 15-year relationship and will see the travel accommodation specialist and the world’s leading mass participation company working together for the next three years across more than 30 events annually across Europe.

“Nirvana has been arranging athlete and spectator event travel & accommodation at IRONMAN events for over 15 years,” said Peter Gallagher, Director of Global Partnerships for IRONMAN EMEA. “Their industry expertise, and true understanding of the IRONMAN landscape, puts them in a fantastic position to support us in our mission to create exceptional events and life-changing experiences. This partnership extension represents IRONMAN’s commitment to providing trusted, world-class event services to our athletes.”

IRONMAN athletes and spectators in Europe can benefit from booking hand-picked race accommodation, as well as a host of event specific services including flight bookings, airport transfers, and on-the-ground support, from Nirvana. As part of the agreement, Nirvana will offer their travel and accommodation services to a large proportion of IRONMAN’s one million strong athlete base, starting with IRONMAN 70.3 Marbella on April 28, 2019.

“As we embark on our 20th year anniversary in the event travel industry, we are delighted to continue our strong partnership with IRONMAN & be part of such an iconic event series”, said Brendan Duggan, Director of Business Operations for Nirvana.  “We are proud to support the athlete’s journey to the finish line with an unwavering commitment to deliver an invaluable service of arranging travel to IRONMAN events across the globe.  Our aim will remain consistent throughout, in ensuring each athlete and spectator can fully enjoy their unique event experience, whilst removing any associated travel stresses.”
