Having covered the Pro races from today’s IRONMAN 70.3 Dubai in separate reports (PRO MEN | PRO WOMEN), I thought I’d also take a look at the Age-Group results from the top British athletes who were racing in the Middle East. There were lots of them, with a combination of those travelling as well as a significant ex-pat community.

As well as plenty of podium results, British athletes topped the speed charts overall. Lottie Lucas (25-29) was the fastest female AG athlete overall. She repeated her category win from 2019, but this time moved up from fifth fastest female amateur (as well as finishing almost 17 minutes quicker than 12 months ago).

The quickest male Age-Grouper was Josh Holman (25-29), who was among the fastest British amateurs at the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Nice. Just 90 seconds slower (and third overall), was Tom Ward (40-44). Tom also won the same 40-44 division last year… where he was also the third fastest male AG athlete too!

Overall Age-Group Positions

1st – Lottie Lucas (GBR) – 4:23:55 (25-29)
