20 Medals for the GB Standard Distance Team in Rotterdam
In the the first of two updates from Sunday’s Age Group races at the Rotterdam ITU World Triathlon Championships, here are the ‘scores on the doors’ in terms of podium finishes from the Standard Distance event.
Beau Smith (20-24) took Gold and in the process set the fastest overall male the of the day, with his 1:53:35 finish. While ‘only’ second in his 25-29 category, Samuel Wade (1:54:38) set the third fastest overall time of the day, missing our on Gold by just 12 seconds.
Michelle Willcocks (Gold, 30-34), was also the second fastest female across all divisions. Recognised earlier this season as our ERDINGER Athlete of the Month, she adds World Standard Gold to European Sprint Distance Gold in a brilliant season.
