Tim Don wins IRONMAN 70.3 Campeche – Mexico

Three IRONMAN 70.3 Pro races over the weekend: Mexico, Puerto Rico, Taiwan

He can usually be relied upon to start the year in great form, and Great Britain’s Tim Don is showing no signs of changing that aspect of his racing with a clear win on Sunday at IRONMAN 70.3 Campeche in Mexico.

Having recently started working with British TT legend Matt Bottrill on his cycling, Don showed total commitment on the bike and powered his way to a 2:07:04 bike split, which was more than four minutes quicker than anyone else. By T2 his lead was almost six minutes – and plenty of feedback and date no doubt to feedback to coach Bottrill. Don is never going to lose a lead of that extent over the run, and came home more than three and a half minutes clear of Cody Beals (CAN).
