Super League Triathlon (SLT), the game-changing fan-focused professional triathlon league has partnered with 2XU, the global leader in sports compression and high-performance sports apparel.

2XU will supply the official SLT race suits for the season, as well as kitting out all SLT staff at each league location. The deal also includes consumer merchandise offerings, which will be available to buy at each event in the Championship series. The general public who take part in the mass participation events will also receive a 2XU item of race clothing.

The league will culminate in the 50 best pro athletes battling it out for the title of ‘the ultimate all-round triathlete’. Designed and tested in consultation with sports scientists and industry experts, 2XU is a natural fit for SLT – the sportswear company is the world’s leading triathlon brand and one of the most innovative performance brands on the planet, while SLT prides itself on sporting innovation; putting professional athletes on a world stage to give accessibility and entertainment to sports fans everywhere.

Co-founded by former professional triathlete Jamie Hunt as a specialist triathlon brand, 2XU has a strong heritage in the sport. World champions including Daniela Ryf, Terenzo Bozzone, Emma Carney and Craig Alexander – and SLT’s very own Matt Hauser – have all chosen to train and perform in 2XU’s endurance range, which features world-leading technology to enhance the performance of both elite and everyday athletes.

Super League Triathlon travels to some of the world’s most spectacular racing destinations throughout the season: Jersey (29-30 September), Malta (27-28 October), Mallorca (3-4 November), Singapore (23-24 February 2019) and Australia (16-17 March 2019). With 2XU on board, sports fans will lay witness to the ultimate battles in men’s and women’s professional triathlon.

Michael D’hulst, Super League Triathlon’s CEO, said:

“It’s great to have 2XU on board with us as our global apparel partner; this brand has triathlon in its DNA and is in such alignment with our values and desire to excite and engage both triathlon fans and sports fans globally. SLT is a highly addictive and fast-paced experience for both the triathletes and the fans, and 2XU’s presence only bolsters this experience.”

Jamie Hunt, 2XU Co-founder and Director of Product Development, said:

“We’re really excited to be the official apparel partner of Super League Triathlon. The SLT series will bring together the world’s best triathletes in an innovative race format, so it’s fitting that 2XU – the world’s leading triathlon brand with a global reputation for technical innovation – will be there to help athletes perform at their peak. 2XU has a strong heritage in triathlon and we’re looking forward to sharing our world-leading endurance and apparel technology with the SLT competitors. I raced in this exciting format myself as a professional triathlete back in the 1990s when it was first introduced in Australia, and I can say it’s both the toughest racing on the planet and the best to watch, so it’s exciting to see this series up and running.”
