Another ‘triathlete’ wins National Time Trial Championship medals
(And that was after being hit by a car during the race…!)
The long history of British female triathletes transitioning to and performing well in time trialling continued today at the RTTC National 100-mile Championship, held this year on the L10010 course near Keswick, Lake District.
Last year (report HERE), Kate Allan, twice an ETU Middle Distance Triathlon European Championship Age-Group medallist took the Silver, to add to her win in the National ’50’.
This year it was the turn of Victoria Gill, a previous winner of the Outlaw Triathlon and twice an Elite ETU European Championship medallist over the long distance, to show that her recent PB’s over 25 and 50 miles could be converted to Championship success over 100. It wasn’t without incident either, having apparently also been hit by a car during the event:
